On 6th August, the 13th “Evening of Chinese Culture” co-organized by the Sino-American Friendship Association and the New York Mets was held at Citi Field in New York. Chinese Consul General Huang Ping was invited to attend the event. He delivered a speech at the press conference, threw the first pitch, and watched the game between New York Mets and Atlanta Braves together with spectators. Deputy Consul General Qian Jin, Sino-American Friendship Association President Peter Zhang, Mets Senior Vice President John Ricco, Deputy Chief of Staff to the NYS Governor Linda Sun, NYC Council member Christopher Marte, representative of NYC mayor Zheng Qirong and other guests from all walks of life in the consular district also attended the event.
