To handle affairs related to Chinese in America and provide necessary assistance and service to American Chinese.

The Office's major responsibilities are:

-To protect the legal rights and interests of Chinese residing in the consular district;

-To liaise with Chinese and Chinese Societies in the consular district;

-To encourage and support the efforts made by both Chinese and American Chinese in facilitating cooperation and exchange between China and US.
