From July 8th to 9th, Consul General Ambassador Huang Ping visited Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his stay, Consul General Huang met with Pittsburgh Deputy Mayor Jake Pawlak, engaged in discussions with executives from local media, including the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle, visited the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and local Chinese community. Deputy Consul General Ma Xiaoxiao attended relevant events.
During his visit, Consul General Huang introduced recent developments in China-U.S. relations including sub-national exchanges, and China's economic prospects. He encouraged greater cooperation between the Pittsburgh region and China to enhance the well-being of both peoples. Local officials, business leaders, and media representatives warmly welcomed Huang's visit, expressing support for development of U.S.-China relations and a willingness to strengthen exchanges with China to foster mutual understanding and cooperation.
