On August 3, Consul General Huang Ping attended the handover ceremony of the Jingchu Library in China Institute.

Huang Ping pointed out that Jingchu culture is an important part of Chinese culture. Chu Ci, the symbol of Jingchu culture, is known as the source of Chinese romantic literature and has a huge influence among the world. According to Mr. Xiao Guanglu, the president of the Beijing Book Company in New York, The Jingchu Library has been collected by libraries all over the world.

The Jingchu Library is a collection of 1,372 kinds of literature and monographs of modern research, about 1,600 volumes, divided into three parts. Volume A contains literature, Volume B, local chronicles, and Volume C, research, which are prepared in print and digital. In particular, Volume A is the representative works selected from numerous classics from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Republic of China; Volume B generally collects the existing old local chronicles of Hubei; Volume C covers important modern academic works and reference books on the history and geographical culture of Jingchu, the characters of Jingchu and the ware in Jingchu style.
