In her speech, Peng Liyuan said that the summer camp is not only a get-together for Chinese and African children, but also a clear demonstration of the closeness between China and the African continent. Chinese and African people have always stood together, understood and supported each other in their pursuit of happiness. As a fellow companion of Africa  on the path of development, China is committed not only to ensuring the healthy growth of Chinese children, but also to contributing to the healthy growth of African children. Noting that China and Africa will always be sincere friends, Peng Liyuan expressed the hope that the Chinese and African children at the summer camp will plant the seeds of China-Africa friendship in their hearts, take up the baton of China-Africa friendship, and become the inheritors of the traditional friendship between China and Africa and a fresh force in building a China-Africa community with a shared future.

During the event, Peng Liyuan and African and Chinese children viewed exhibitions on traditional Chinese culture with great interest and interacted with each other. They also listened to the touching stories shared by representatives of the Chinese medical teams in Africa. Representatives of Chinese and African children shared their sincere feelings, and expressed heartfelt thanks to Peng Liyuan for her long-standing care and attention, saying that they will cherish their time, study hard, and strive to become young envoys of China-Africa friendship. The children's song and dance performances, along with fun games, received rounds of applause. At the end of the event, Peng Liyuan took a group photo with the children and presented them with gifts.

In 2023, Peng Liyuan and the Organization of African First Ladies for Development jointly initiated the "Warm Children's Hearts, A China-Africa Joint Action".
