In 2013, the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum organized the exhibition Jews and Shanghai at New York’s Rockefeller Center. Rabbi Arthur Schneier, a founder and president of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, attended the opening ceremony and shared his personal experiences as a Holocaust survivor. He emphasized the importance of the museum in preserving historical memory and maintaining peace for humanity.

In 2019, the museum, in collaboration with the Brooklyn Public Library, co-hosted the Jews in Shanghai touring exhibition series in New York. Over 80 years ago, students from the Mir Yeshiva in Poland fled to Shanghai to escape the Nazi regime. After World War II, most of these students and their families ultimately emigrated to Brooklyn, New York.
